बालकको मृत्युपछि इशान अस्पताल तनावग्रस्त
काठमाडौं: मंगलबार काठमाडौंमा उपचारको क्रममा एक बालकको मृत्यु भएपछि बसुन्धरास्थित इशान बाल तथा महिला अस्पतालमा तनाव बढेको छ। तीन वर्षीय बालक बिकृष्ण महर्जनको मृत्युपछि बिरामी पक्षले अस्पतालमाथि लापरवाही गरेको आरोप लगाउँदै तोडफोड गरेको छ। निमोनियाबाट पीडित बालकलाई बिहान करिब १ बजे अस्पतालको सघन उपचार कक्षमा भर्ना गरिएको थियो। अस्पतालले बिहान करिब ५:४५ बजे बिरामीका अभिभावकलाई केटाको मृत्यु भएको बताएको थियो।
शोकमा परेका परिवारले शव लिन अस्वीकार गर्दै घटनाको अनुसन्धान गरी केटाको मृत्युको लागि जिम्मेवार व्यक्तिहरूलाई कारबाही गर्न माग गरेको छ।
Basundhara-based Ishan children and Women's Hospital was vandalized by the relatives of a three-year-old child who died in the course treatment at the hospital on Tuesday.
The enraged relatives accused the hospital staff of negligence and had refused to receive the body of the child until Tuesday evening, demanding probe and action against those involved in the treatment.
Bikrishna Maharjan, the son of Shyam Krishna, of Tarakeshwar Municipality, Kathmandu, who was admitted at hospital's intensive care unit (ICU), on 12 pm Monday, died at around 5:45 am in the morning.
The hospital administration claimed that the child was brought to the hospital in a critical condition and could not be saved despite their serious efforts.
“Unfortunately, we couldn't save the child,” Bipin Jangam, an administrative officer at the hospital, said, adding that the hospital authority might have failed to counsel the relatives of deceased properly.
